Palmersheim & Mathew successfully obtained dismissal of a putative class action lawsuit on behalf of a multi-national paper products company based in the United Kingdom.  The plaintiff originally filed his class action complaint in the 12^th Judicial Circuit Court, Will County, Illinois and asserted claims on behalf of himself and the putative class arising under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (“BIPA”).  Palmersheim & Mathew removed the case to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the plaintiff subsequently voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit.
